2026 Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (Middle & High School Students)

Duration Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm EST
Location: To be announced to registered student teams and schools. The event time is a tentative time slot for venue coordination and may change without notice.
- Event Name: Makers Universe Experience
- Saturday Event Duration: 5 hours
- Ages Requirements: 12-17
- Teams Enrollment Minimum Required: 2 students, Max 8
- Recommended Prerequisite: Basic Computer Skills and Personal Laptop for Maker’s Universe Participation
- Required Forms: Participation Waiver, Technology Use Agreement, and Code of Conduct Form per student
- Materials Fees: None, event includes instructional guides, course tech training, and digital tools valued at $250 per team sponsored by the National STEM Society.
- Exisiting Member Fee: $50 per student
- None Member Fee: $75.00 per student
National STEM Society
Join us for a Makers Universe Experience that will allow school students to illustrate, project manage, and engineer a real Power Apps solution from start to finish. This STEM experience is a team-building project gameplay practiced in teams of 2 to 8 students. This event offers students the opportunity to collaborate in a team, target problem-solving, storytelling, and agile project management. Who will quarterback your team to the finish line?
Specific guidelines and rules apply to be eligible for grand prize winnings.
All registered teams will receive a fun welcome pack giveaway for each team member to take home and enjoy. Access to a snack island during the event and break time learning sessions.
An Introduction to Engineering Experience for Girls will be hosted for the annual “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day” celebration. This experience will be orchestrated by a private sponsor to share their career experience and provide an exercise on Women Coding with Confidence in today’s Engineering and STEM fields.
Main Activity in Microsoft 365
What you can expect?: STEM Fun Educational Breakout Sessions, DJ, technology gaming, scavenger hunt, food, beverages, and more.

Team Grand Prizes:
- First place $600
- Second Place $300
- Third Place $150
Students will have fun exploring maker techniques while learning Tech tools through their educational fun creations and storytelling the experiences with their peers, teammates, and student instructors in a team-building digital environment with tools the pros use in STEM careers and fields every day.
Provided tools with temporary monitored access to Canva, Microsoft Power Apps, and Teams.
All approved volunteer participants age 16 and above are required to complete a criminal background screening through the National Council for Safety Initiative (NCSI). The background check processing fee is $35. Volunteers donate $20 and the National STEM Society sponsors $15. Sponsorship spaces are limited.
The National STEM Society reserves the right to deny any enrollment to all programs due to misconduct or behavioral concerns. Registration submission does not guarantee participation. Thank you for your support of our safety first core values and safety initiative.
